Pressure Washing

The trick is matching the pressure and the cleaner to the surface. Stone can take real pressure; wood decks and cedar siding cannot — turn the wand up too high and you'll etch the grain or blast the coating off. We use soft-washing for painted and stained surfaces, higher-pressure work for concrete and pavers, and appropriate cleaners for algae and mildew so the finish holds up instead of coming right back.

Gutters are one of those things you never think about until they fail — and when they fail, they fail expensively. A clogged gutter sends water over the edge instead of down the downspout, and that water finds the exact places you don't want it: behind the siding, under the roof deck, along the foundation. In New England winters, a full gutter freezes and forms ice dams that pry shingles up from underneath.

We clear leaves, pine needles, seed pods, and debris from every run of gutter and every downspout, by hand. Then we flush the whole system with a hose to confirm water actually moves through it — because a clean-looking gutter with a blocked downspout is still a blocked gutter.

Best done in late fall once the leaves finish dropping, and again in spring after the tree flowers and pollen wash through. Recurring seasonal visits keep the whole system worry-free and let you catch small fascia or drip-edge issues before they turn into repairs.
